Biographies and information on our Special Guest Authors:

Jane Savoie

Jane Savoie is one of the most prominent names in dressage. She has coached at 3 Olympic games, is a member of the US Equestrian Team, and travels around North America teaching clinics and events. Her work is one of the most comprehensive and informative on today’s market. We welcome Jane to the blog, and don’t forget to check out her site, Dressage Mentor. I know the site personally, and believe me, it is worth every penny and more. You would pay much more for just a few single lessons, and this site will give you hours of instruction you can keep coming back to. Jane also has a compilation of her over 30 years of dressage training in “Happy Horse Study Course”. I own this too, and watch it weekly. You can never know enough when it comes to dressage!

Kathryn Watts

Kathryn Watts, Safergrass.org

As a professional agricultural contract researcher and consultant, Kathryn is in a unique position to understand and conduct studies on carbohydrate content of forage. Destiny has also placed her in a region where environmental conditions produce especially high sugar and fructan levels in grass so that she can generate data under a worst case scenario. It is her hope that the research and discussion of plant physiology and grazing management can provide useful information for those who need to minimize sugar and starch content in their horse’s diet.
